Melbourne Cup Form
In horse racing parlance form means what a particluar horse has done on the race track on its last few outings. A horses form therefore is a vital ingredient when assessing a horses chances in a race. Therefore it will hugely affect the price in the betting.
Horses, like people, do better if their confidence is high and as such if a horse has won his last race then the punter will know that this horse in in good shape and may have a good chance of following up in its next race
This is only one aspect however when looking at the form of a horse. it should not be taken as read as there are several other aspects that will have other affects. One example would be the form of the horses stable and also if the horse has been trained specifically for a given race. This particularly applies for big races like the Melbourne Cup, where trainers attempt to bring their horse to the track in peak condition. Melbourne Cup runners are usually given a progressive timetable in the months leading up to the race.
Some may concentrate their efforts on staying the 2 mile trip, others who may be certain to get the trip could easily be tested in shorter races in order to gain more speed experience. Punters should always allow for improvements in horses but should be aware that for the Melbourne Cup, the training is over and horses in theory, should come into the race primed and reasy to do battle. It is not easy to judge exactly how the form of one horse compares to that of another, but good punters will foillow the entrants to the Melbourne Cup from the outset of the season and in so doing should be able to obtain a full picture of the form. Once the selection is made it is sensible to back it with a Melbourne Cup Free Bet
Form is one of the few guide punters have when considering on who they will bet on in the race, others is the Melbourne Cup betting and the Melbourne Cup tips.
